10-Year Anniversary Celebration
We're half way through our 10 year celebration. This month, I bring to you some more KoF videos of days-long-gone. The first one here is an old Recruitment video from Vanilla WoW:
This next video was one that I just randomly found on the web. I think it was created by Mordemie, a past guild member. If not, let me know who it was and I'll give proper credit.
It's hard to believe that our first decade is nearly complete. I'd like to sincerely thank every single past, present and future Kinship member for your contribution to this guild. Without you, the games would only be games. But with you, its a family. |

Ululating at Ulduar
Since my main computer crashed, I've been unable to update our progress through Ulduar with nice screen shots. However, we've been busy and plugging right along. Here is an update to our progress
Ulduar Bosses Defeated:
Flame Leviathan - CHECK
Ignis the Furnace Master - CHECK
Razorscale - CHECK
XT-002 Deconstructor - CHECK
Assembly of Iron - CHECK
Kologarn - CHECK
Auriaya - CHECK
Ulduar Bosses in our sights:
Freya - Soon
Mimiron - Soon
Thorim - Soon
Hodir - Soon
General Vezax - Soon
General Vezax - Soon
Yogg-Saron - Soon
So, we're exactly half way through the dungeon. Actually, thats a good thing, because Ulduar is going to be our endgame zone for a little while longer. Its nice to have a challenge, but be sure that we'll be downing the remaining bosses soon. |

Remember When Bosses Were Dragons?
As part of our 10-year celebration, I submit to you a video taken approximately 4 years ago. The downing of a Blackwing Lair (BWL) boss, pre-WotLK, pre-BC, pre-flying mounts, pre-summoning stones and pre-raid buffs:
Things were tougher back then, you young whippersnappers! Them were the days where there were no epic flying mounts. You had to walk EVERYWHERE, uphill, both ways.
Let me tell YOU about hardship: Back then, you had to single cast a buff on every member of the raid. And raids were not these simplistic 25-man groups. NO! They were monstrosities, 40-persons big. How big? So big that you could barely see the terrain because your raid group windows would obscure your view.
And back in those days you were thankful...THANKFUL, if a boss dropped you an item with +2 to a stat. You would pick it up, cherish it as if it were your first born child, raise it to the sky and proclaim your uber greatness as you weilded the pathetic item. You would literally weep at the thought of someday getting a pair of pants from Ragnaros. Until then, we went pantless. Rain or shine, hot or cold, we were pantless and we were THANKFUL.
You dont know how good you have it now, youngin. Them were the days...

Kologarn
&
The Assembly of Iron
Cleared
Great job tonight, Kin. We took down two new Ulduar bosses, including one that we had never faced before. Excellent progression! I think I'm going to have a drink in celebration. A nice cup of Asskick(TM). Nothing warms the belly more and puts me in a better mood.
Kologarn Killed
Assembly of Iron has been Shut Down
We're really moving through this content. We only have Auriaya left in this wing, and then its on to The Keepers of Ulduar. I cant wait to meet Mimiron. You know, the whole Gnomish Brotherhood thing...although he is a clockwork Gnome. I certainly wont take any pity on him.
So Lets recap a bit of our Ulduar progress. I made a little chart, below. Take a look! I'll update this with new posts as we continue our trek through the hallowed halls of Ulduar.
Ulduar Bosses Defeated:
- Flame Leviathan - CHECK
- Ignis the Furnace Master - CHECK
- Razorscale - CHECK
- XT-002 Deconstructor - CHECK
- Assembly of Iron - CHECK
- Kologarn - CHECK

XT-002 Deconstructor is Discombobulated
&
Ignis the Furnace Master Extinguished!
We quickly dispatched both Ignis and Deconstructor on Friday night. Great job everyone. The quick downings allowed us to move on to Kologarn and get a lot of attempts in on him.
Deconstructed
While we didnt drop Kologarn on our first attempts, we still have Sunday and Monday to bring him down. At the rate we're learning these boss fights, it wont be long until we're hitting Yogg-Saron and eventually Algalon the Observer.
